Recruiting extraordinaire, Julia Ross pictured here with Janine Garner the Director of Little Black Dress group (LBD), was guest speaker at the recent launch of First Seeds Fund. The Fund is an inspiring initiative of the LBD group, which will support women and children to achieve their potential through employment and education.
LBD group is a collective of women who thrive on success, each other’s wisdom, integrity, honesty, respect and reciprocity. Their aim is to raise a minimum of $20,000 for the First Seeds Fund in 2012.
“We are building a global community of like-minded, results driven business women that want to work collaboratively to drive continued change and success for each other, themselves and the wider business community,” explained Janine about LBD. “Our members are all incredible, successful and inspiring. No politics, just good women doing great things and motivating each other along the path.”
The group is passionate about First Seeds Fund and in an effort to make a real difference at a grass roots level have joined forces with the Sydney Women’s Fund who work with donors and activists to improve the lives of women and girls in our city.
Janine is also known as “mum” to three children aged 8, 6 and 3. “Motherhood is a gift” says Janine, “there is so much joy, laughter and magic”.
