Last year Loani Arman became the first pregnant comedian to perform at the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival in her sold out solo show, “ULTRA-‐UN-‐SOUND”. This year, she and three other funny ladies have a show called LADY BITS as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival programme at The Factory Theatre.
LADY BITS is a showcase of comedy from FBi radio’s “Girls Gone Mild” Hannah and Eliza Reilly; ex “All Saints” star turned comedian Celeste Barber; award winning comedy writer Belinda King, and producer Loani who is passionate about supporting women in comedy.
“Any female comedian will tell you that they’ve come up against that whole ‘women aren’t funny’ attitude that some folks peddle. The best response to that mentality is to be funny and help other women to do the same”
“Some of the funniest women I know” – director Craig Anderson (ABC’s “Black Comedy”) “Wonderfully weird” – comedian Laura Hughes (“Legally Brown”; “MICF Comedy Zone”) “Perfectly timed stand up” – Sydney Arts Guide
